It is with regrets that I announced the passing of Wayne ‘ILA’ Henry, class of 1981. Wayne died in the Mandeville Hospital on Thursday, November 6th 2008 after a battle with cancer. Wayne attended Holmwood from 1977 – 1981. He represented Holmwood in football and was the captain of the DaCosta Cup team in 1980. He excelled in academics and returned to teach at Holmwood after graduation (1981-1982). Wayne leaves behind his mother, family and host of friends.

In the midst of the grief at the passing of your mother, I am sure it must have been heartening to see the turnout of Holmwood Alumni at the funeral service yesterday. Your mother was a phenomenal woman and the tributes to her were indeed fitting. |
